Who We Are

We are a group of doctors registered to practice medicine in Australia with our common denominator being of Nigerian descent and working in the Australian capital territory and its environs.

Our Motto

NAMDA – Together, we go further.

Brief History

The Nigerian Association of Medical Doctors in the ACT(NAMDA)was formed in 2020 by a group of like -minded doctors of Nigeria descents who felt the need to form an association that will foster collegiality amongst members.

These individuals later became the first Exco of the newly formed association.
Since then,there have been several change of guards with the current excos occupying 5 offices after taking leadership in December of 2023 for a 2 year term.

The member strength at the moment is under 40 and counting comprising of both specialists and General practitioners

To foster unity, strengthen collegiality amongst doctors of Nigerian descent working in the Australia Capital Territory and it’s environ.
